NBC banned Dennis Kucinich from last night’s debate. I think Kucinich is a great congressman and I wish we had more like him. At the end of the day, 95% of congressmen are bought-and-paid-for corporate douchebags, but he’s not.
That said, his presidential campaign is basically an ego trip. Read Jason Zengerle’s article in TNR to find out why:
A reporter trying to reach the Kucinich campaign gets routed to press secretary David Bright’s cell phone–which Bright rarely answers, because, as he explains in his outgoing message, he lives in “rural Maine,” where cell phone coverage is spotty.
Ron Paul, on the other hand, IS actually running for president, and it’s really slimy that FOX — and only FOX — keeps banning him. I know FOX is the propaganda arm of the Republican National Committee and all, but do they have to be so obvious about it all the time?
